PAPERMAN is a Paper Management
System that recognises the organisational needs of both small and large publishers.
Not only does PAPERMAN provide
the means to control stock at Divisional level, paper can be managed at title level
and in different currencies or units of measure.
Each Division "owns" its own stock and purchases that stock in its local currency,
handling stock in metric or imperial measurement.
Within each Division the User Company can sub divide the Division into what are
referred to as Publishing Groups - sections of an organisation that manage a number
of titles.
Stock and usage can then be reported on at Company, Divisional and Publishing Group
levels.
An area of great concern to Publishers is the provision of financial information
on a period/month frequency to the Financial Division of the Company. PAPERMAN produces complete Stock Valuations at
FIFO or current replacement cost and also produces cost statements for paper usage
by Title and Publishing Group through to Divisional totals. The data can be in a
format whereby it can be fed directly into a company's financial systems.
By entering in all future print runs of a title, PAPERMAN can provide the user with "single Screen control" of paper consumption
automatically creating proposed replenishment Purchase Orders. Using safety stock
levels and delivery lead times,PAPERMAN
can operate on a Just In Time principle delivering the paper two days prior to a
print run.
Fully integrated with Microsoft Office products, PAPERMAN can provide stock and financial reports in spreadsheets and
enable the user to e-mail Purchase Orders and Call-offs to Paper Suppliers.
Specific screen transactions have been designed for Printers to connect to
PAPERMAN and record paper deliveries
and print run usage thus removing the need for paper usage statements and publishers
not knowing what paper has been delivered until after it has been used.
PAPERMAN can be used either
over the Internet, thus avoiding the expense of networks and servers, or for companies
that already have an IT infrastructure, it can be supplied to operate on a company's
Intranet.
The system also provides B2B XML interfaces to Printers and Paper Mills
reducing the need for duplication of data.
The complete in-depth PAPERMAN
Help and User Manual is available to each user and once logged into the system is
only a click away, training courses can be provided for all levels of user.
